This contract law course, with new materials and updated case examples, is designed to introduce the range of issues that arise when entering and enforcing contracts. It will provide an introduction to what a contract is and also analyze the purpose and significance of contracts. A learning contract is simply a written agreement between the teacher and the learner, in which the learner agrees to complete tasks in a prescribed amount of time or by his or her own initiative. Learning contracts provide a balance between teacher choice and student initiative that is necessary for differentiation of instruction.
